Remembering when he stood at Jake’s grave, Children’s Advocate Bob Pringle became emotional in discussing his report into the toddler’s death in an overburdened foster home, after a revolving door of caregivers.
Jake would throw tantrums, banging his head against the floor at his Saskatoon foster home, Pringle explained Tuesday, pausing several times as he tried to regain composure.
“He wanted to to be held. What baby doesn’t? We see a small child — cared for by many caregivers, along with too many other young people in a home,” said Pringle, his voice trembling.
